Oyster Ridge Wedding, Santa Margarita 2019

OYSTER RIDGE WEDDING | SANTA MARGARITA, CA
Kim + Justin

I really loved working with Kim on her wedding. Kim thoughtfully selected the decor she did an amazing job. Caitlyn, our stylist, helped bring Kim’s vision to life. Oyster Ridge is a beautiful venue that overlooks acres of vineyards. A perfect backdrop for a perfect wedding day.

Austyn Elizabeth was the photographer. She has the following  blog on her website. I loved how she described the day that I thought it best to let her tell the story of Kim’s and Justin’s wedding day.

All the details in this Oyster Ridge Wedding were exquisite and absolutely perfect. From the florals, to the table scapes, to the views, to this couple – it was stunning. However, none of that stands in comparison to the way these two love each other. Because Justin and Kim are one of those couples you admire and are captivated by. How they interact, move, embrace, look and smile at each other… it gives me goose bumps and left Brian and I with smiles on our face throughout the whole day. Because they get it. And they found it. And I am so immensely happy for them.

Kim began getting ready with her only bride’s maid, her sister Amanda, and her mother in one of the coolest getting ready places in the area — The Granada Hotel. Tami and Brooklynn knocked it out of the park with their amazing hair and makeup skills (let me tell you, these ladies are phenomenal). While I was photographing away details and the girls were getting all spruced up, Lisa (the wedding planner) was sending messages to Kim throughout the morning of visual updates on how the decor at Oyster Ridge was coming along. Giggles, sweet moments shared between mom and her daughters, and constant “it’s/your beautiful” filled the room.

Oyster Ridge Wedding styles can go two different ways. You either play off of the rustic barn scene, or you engulf in the vast landscape of vineyards. Kim and Just in leaned more toward the vineyard route, with a beautiful minimal, clean and slight urban design. Elegant and chic with cement circle vases filled with stunning arrangements, matte plates with gold plated and white silverware – their menus and place cards were so fun and unique. It was a beautiful celebration at every turn. And instead of having the ceremony close to the barn, they had it under the tree just a bit down the way. The backdrop of the two of them saying “I do” was acres of vineyards with the rolling hills for miles. And one of the best parts was when the Quartet played Tennessee Whiskey as Kim walked down the isle. It was perfect.

The night roll on with dinner by one of my favorite local chef’s, Jacob, from his new Private Catering company (he use to be the chef for Cass Winery – that is where I fell in love with every morsel of food he ever created). Also Spash Cafe made one of best cakes we’ve had at a wedding. The ladies of Bottles and Ice and DJ Scott kept the party happening throughout the evening.

Everything about this day was so them and absolutely beautiful. We are so excited to see where life takes these two. Now without further ado, enjoy a preview of their Oyster Ridge wedding. xoxo
